Jesus Needs New PR

A 'Supernatural' interview w/the man who spent 23 minutes in hell

The special effects alone make this work watching.

And the “man on the street” portions are great, too, though they’re completely scripted and poorly acted out…

But the BEST parts… the very BEST parts of this video are the Hell reenactments… classic.

I liked the how-to on breathing in hell.

The story is cringe-worthy, but the urgency is real. I only watched half of it (couldn’t stomach the rest), but I appreciate that his aim seems to be to make sure he points out God’s hope to others rather than completely dwell on his own experience (even though it was 12 years ago). The whole thing wouldn’t have seemed so bad if it weren’t for the show’s host.

I especially liked his credentials and “references.”

I’m surprised they didn’t get Kirk Cameron to play the part.I would ask him to keep showing me how one takes breaths in hell…

Supernaturally lame. How can a non-physical entity with no physical nerve endings and no physical brain fell pain? Whatever. More scare tactics. God would have to truly be an insane tyrant to create such a place. If he existed, that is.

i rob bell could have seen this BEFORE he wrote “Love Wins” it might have kept a lot of christians from acting like ignoranuses. on second thought, they’d probably found other reasons to act like that anyway. ~steveT

oh man those people on the street were so bad! Who hired them and left that segment in once it was filmed?

don’t they realize how this show takes away from their legitimacy?

wait why do demons torture people in hell? they want people in hell! shouldn’t it be a celebration? why do they hate you? if you got there – then you did the demons will.

Was it me or did he say “there’s no Calvary coming over the hill” at around 07:00?

Pat Robertson blasts SNL over Jesus, Tebow skit!
Hmm. SNL has poked fun with Jesus before… Chances are, Pat wouldn’t have said anything about this skit had it not been poking fun at Tebow… SNL has used “Jesus” in skits many many times. There seems to be a double standard among some Christians when the religious sati
