Jesus Needs New PR

Anybody know what THIS is?

A party?
A service?
A seance?
Group therapy?
I’m at a loss… but I’m thankful the cute short kid didn’t break his neck when he jumped off the bed.

And why is there a Obama cutout in the background?

Found at Christian Nightmares!

Could this be a video from the same people who prayed over an Obama cutout a month or so ago?
I don’t know if that was supposed to be a Nationwide thing.

I was going to guess youth group, but most of these kids are too young, excepting the smart-aleck teenager who thanked God for making it rain so she could finish her homework during recess. I like her. So I’m guessing a church kids club. Some churches offer confirmation/member classes for the elementary age set. So maybe a home-based party for that?

The disco light thing kinda gives me a migraine.

These kids are too young cognitively to offer much in the way of abstract thinking and introspection, but this group looks practiced at saying something. They start them young here. I remember around 6th grade doing special campfire testimony night at church camp. We were all pretty silent. After enough coaching, cajoling, threats, etc (you are all bad kids if you can’t at least stand up and say you love God) I stood up quickly, said I love God, sat back down. A couple kids snickered uncomfortably, looked around the circle, and did the same. I guess we weren’t as practiced as this group.

I don’t get Obama’s presence either

Pat Robertson blasts SNL over Jesus, Tebow skit!
Hmm. SNL has poked fun with Jesus before… Chances are, Pat wouldn’t have said anything about this skit had it not been poking fun at Tebow… SNL has used “Jesus” in skits many many times. There seems to be a double standard among some Christians when the religious sati
