A Paranormal Easter?

Eastlake Community Church in Washington State is celebrating a “Paranormal Easter”…

Sounds sort of interesting.

The graphic is definitely well done.

And Ryan and Jeremy, the church’s pastors seem like really nice guys.

If anybody lives close, check it out and give us a full report.

I want to know if the crucify Alf.

“They’re here.” I got nothing. Spent my creativity energies today exposing my neuroses:

Sounds quite interesting, Matthew. I wish you had more information on it. I just hope its not some strange, oddball cult thing. Blessings,Curt

They sound pretty solid from a friend of mine who went there when he lived in Seattle. He planted a church in Lawrence, KS (where KU is) with the same EastLake name. I met a few people that came down from Washington. Pretty awesome people. Hope you get your answer to what it’s all about!

EastLake in Washington changed the way I “did” church. That place is amazing. All Jesus. No BS. Real and relevant (no not the we-tell-people-we’re-relevant hype, but a tangible safe place to be yourself and grow at your own pace without learning churchy lingo or mediocre subculture.)

I hope anyone in the Seattle area gives it a shot Sunday.

Lord, have mercy. For they know not what they do. As if having Casey Treat and Mark Driscoll around here wasn’t bad enough. This place makes it sound like “come to church to be healed from abuse.”

I sure hope they are getting these people into the therapy they need to have. Unfortunately, I don’t see that on the “My Story” page.

See, Curt, that’s where you & I differ. I’d love to see a megachurch crack up and do something genuinely bizarre, bordering on cultic…but I think the dangers of kitschy mediocrity are much greater than genuine cultishness…unfortunately. :)

OK, if those two guys on the left are meant to be the characters from Good Omens, I’m all in.

Didn’t we see that horned guy, second on the left, on another recent MPT blog post?
