Pity, really. Dood can sing!

Reminds me of Mike Yaconelli (pbuh).

I mean, for the musicianship, not for the subject material.

Too bad there wasn’t American Idol 25 years ago.

I bet you he’s never done a cover of “Thank You.”

Seems like the author of this blog spends much of his time bashing other Christians while not really taking too much of a stance on any issues. He always has a problem with something, but never offers a solution.

But 1 in 25 or 30 are of his posts were funny the first few times I saw them in other places. By the times they make it here, they’re pretty stale. Still, Christian-bashing is easy and tends to draw loyal, fanatical followers as long as you don’t ever say anything that might make them think you don’t agree with their various opposing agendas. As long as he just throws barbs at the Christians, they can read their own hatred into int.

I dont think he is bashing Christians. I think he is making a point at how “Christianity” has turned into something that is completely opposite of what it was meant to be. Rather you agree with him or not, he has made some pretty good eye openers and yes humor has been used. I dont feel bashed…and Im a Christian, well biblical speaking I am. Worldly…who knows.

Josh, I suppose your point is well taken, however if you think about it Matthew’s posts are very true to the title of the blog. If the issues he blogs about are really what passes for the face of Christianity to the world, I would have to agree that Jesus really COULD use some new PR. Maybe you could start a blog called “Really nice & fuzzy things about Christians” or something. :D

This actually angered me. I really do not care right now what anyone else view points are on homosexuality. What angers me is that this person claims to be a Christian, and the rest of us “Christians” who do try to live love get put in the same category as this. Normally I find this website funny and refreshing, but today i just got mad. And this website isn’t what angered me, this idiot did. Glad you posted it, made me think, wow us Christians really can come off as judgmental crazies. Ok, now that I vented, i am going to go re watch it for the humor on the stupidity of some people.

This would be a fantastic satire. It’s too bad this is for real. And where the heck is he that people are laughing and singing along, a tent revival at the Westboro Baptist Church?

what I don’t get is why some Christians hate homosexuality in non-Christians. If they think it’s sinful, then I understand if they bark against gay Christians. But with non-Christians why does it matter? Its not as if God saves people based on their sexual preference – so if someone is a homo or heterosexual non-Christian – whats it matter?

Omg. So this is my new fav website. Um so this guy came to Georgia Southern University like 4 years ago and everyone was laughing at him. He had a sign that listed all the people going to he’ll. It included homos, lesbos, baby killing women, unsubmissive wives, fornicators, drunkards, pornographers, etc… He sang three songs. The gay song, the abortion song and the fornicating song. They were all terrible but he reminded me of my grandfather it was kinda creepy. He also had a 12 year old home schooled kid holding the sign for him. The kid had a white tee on that said ‘homo’ with a circle and line thru it lol.
