When I was a kid, somebody sang this song EVERY Christmas… because celebrating the birth of Christ was not complete without celebrating the fact that he was destined to die! And die for us!!

Often we missed the true “light” of Christmas by concentrating on his death. And too, that way of thinking caused us to often skip over the teachings of Christ, so we could talk about his DEATH! His DEATH… that was the awesome stuff.

But we missed so much of Jesus’s life that we failed to comprehend and understand his death…
