Trailer for New ‘Narnia’ Movie (And it looks good)

Loved the first Narnia movie.

The second movie was only okay. Actually, it was pretty bad.

I like what I’m seeing of “3”.

Second movie was okay, which by the twisted metric of Hollywood made it better than 97% of children’s movies and 99.9% of all movies coming out that year.

After “Prince Caspian” I worried about how “Silver Chair” would be presented.

I must admit though “Dawn Treader” is one of my favorites of the Narnia books. It displays so many aspects of how God confounds your expectations, and how easy answers can be wrong answers.

I agree…the 2nd was a little disappointing…but this one looks great. Although I still think Aslan could look a little more real. But what do I know? :)

they better not ruin that dragon scene!best part of the book. if Eustace has to earn his “salvation” instead of Aslan granting him that,i’ll be very put out.

The reappearance of The White Witch in every Narnia movie really irks me – she is merely a symbol of evil, a representative of one type, not evil itself, yet she’s being cast as “The Ultimate Evil” in each of these movies. Showing up in Caspian was bad enough, but to have her show up here, too…ugh. And what’s this bunk about “Aslan’s Table” again? This is the one book in the series that they shouldn’t have to change much to make it more adventurous, and yet they’ve messed with it. Ugh.

One of my favorite lines from the book, one that I think contains some deep theology also, is “It is not easy to draw one’s sword when one is swinging round in the air by one’s tail, but he did”

Pretty sure that the 2nd Narnia movie made CS Lewis himself turn in his grave. I wasn’t sure whether to be irritated that they loused up my favorite Narnia book or be creeped out that they made a supposedly twelve or so year-old Caspian too sexy for my comfort.

Let’s hope “Dawn Treader” provides a little redemption or I might have to weep into my Turkish delight.
