Are you a socially-compromised minister? (Have I got some ‘good news’ for you!)

Is this 1990s footage from Z-TV, you know the old (now defunct) Christian version of MTV?

Or maybe is it a cry for help?

And what’s with that weird tongue-out coughing bit?

It’s obvious this guy played guitar in a late-80s rock band.

That’s just a guess.

(BTW: What does “socially compromised” even mean? Facebook?!)

Found at American Jesus.

So, did you see the Fox News logo at 1:26? Coincidence? I think not.

What does that even mean? He obviously thinks MMA is cool, so I must not be too far compromised, at least not to the point of kissing Courtney Love…

Ah, yes, nothing says Jesus like wild game hunting, heavy metal, and right-winged politics!

So very, very offended.
1st – God is not a man so quit calling God “Him”.
2nd – Are you implying that Catholic priests are going to Hell?
3rd – Do you hunt people for your church like you do the animals? Yuck.

I’m sure “socially compromised” means anyone who disagrees with him. The thing is, we shouldn’t be silent on policies and procedures that are “antithetical to what the Scripture clearly states is holy, just and good.” We just don’t agree on what that is. And, I love the little slam about Courtney Love. That’s real pastoral.

Great green screen work! I mean, I absolutely believed he was surrounded by all those flying images and that he rotated in and out of his own free will to talk about more nonsense!

I don’t think this is from the 90′s. He mentioned Pelosi.

It’s great when pastors and churches in the US “forget” that their tax exempt status depends on them staying out of politics when it comes to endorsing specific candidates.

And didn’t most, if not all, of the prophets challenge the Israelites to care for the widow, rescue the orphan, feed the alien in their midst, and look out for each others basic human needs for food and shelter? Didn’t Jesus say the same thing? Would a pastor be socially compromised if she or he decided not to care for them?

Well, pastor Giles, good luck to you on judgment day when you face God and have to answer for your judgmental attitude. Good luck on judgment day when you have to answer for bring the good news of the Republican/ Conservative party only and not the Good news of the Kingdom……

Sad video which is epidemic of the American Church. We have sold the Good news of the Kingdom for the Koolaid of the Democrat and Republican Parties and now the Tea of the Tea Party.

the part about “good luck on judgment day” was the best part. I bet he’s hoping he can be a co-judger on that great day so he can stand there with his arms crossed/flexing.

I completely disagree with every word this guy said.

Preachers need to be teaching scripture, not using Glenn Beck talking points.

Well I think when his website has the support of Ann Coulter that it might explain where he is coming from. Serious question for these individuals, since when did the survival of Christianity depend on the maintenance of “America,” because I believe it was just fine before and it will be just after if it comes to that – and no I’m suggesting that will happen.

Social compromised for this individual might mean is anyone who supports anything other than hard right, doesn’t use a weapon for sport, wear unfortunate clothing, educated or know how to not offend women and other cultures
