If I had to guess I’d say this was made for a member of one of the more religious drug cartels.

There’s actually a museum dedicated to this kind of art on firearms.

I’ve never understood how Christians can own guns…

Huh? The vast majority of people own a gun for one of two reasons.

    1) Self DefenseWhich okay there are different opinions on whether or not you should own a gun for this purpose.

    2) Hunting wild gameGood source of cheap healthy food.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with owning a gun.

Remember guns don’t kill people…people do.

What about a sword? (See also Luke 22:36)

Maybe. But evidently from the next verses the disciples were already packing a couple and Jesus seemed cool with that.

        Just sayin’.

Luke 22:37 explains that he was fulfilling a scripture that said he would be numbered among the lawless.Christ’s rebuke of Peter in the garden serves to show how Jesus feels about using swords/guns against other people. It’s hard to love one’s enemies when one is killing them.

It shows how he felt about Peter using a sword to interfere in a specific situation.

It’s equally hard to say you love the innocent when you won’t lift a finger to protect them against an aggressor. When an intruder is threatening your family’s security there are legitimate priorities about who you show love and in what amounts.

        I’ll say no more.

I think that Jesus was fulfilling scripture and didn`t want Peter to interfere and it also shows Christ`s unfailing love even for his enemy by healing him. It has nothing to do with his feelings about swords/guns against someone who is threatening you.

You might understand if you woke up one night and someone was in your house with a gun and you had nothing to defend your family with.
