Wow. How self-serving. Guaranteed this was played at the beginning of the sermon at a megachurch.

Did I miss what was wrong with this? It seemed kinda funny to me. I’m being sincere though. What am I overlooking?

for me, sure its a funny video (well kinda), but churches have a tendency these days to make videos to play before sermons that serve no real purpose other than to make them seem a little bit cooler.

I used to go to a church that every week had some new video that my friends spent way too much time making. not a great use of tithe, but i’m judging.

It just seems so egotistical to me. Kinda like their image of being “cool” has become their idol.
And there was no humor in the video, other than the jumping with no underwear on. I’m sure that was unintentional…unless the pastor has a bouncy ball fetish.

I thought it was funny. Wasn’t something they were trying to shove down people’s throats! And if all it did was get some people involved- video crew, etc, what’s really the harm? I didn’t see it.

I dunno. While I’ve seen the angle done before, I think its a)short-sighted to judge this without knowing the context in which it was used and b)to throw out generalities like “I bet this was used at a megachurch.

To me, its obvious that its tongue-in-cheek as to how a pastor gets ready in the morning before preaching a sermon (do you think he actually does all that?). Without having heard a word from the pastor’s mouth, many of you are throwing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak.
