WHAT? Sarah Palin’s new book to offer ‘personal reflections on flag’?

Good picture, don’t you think? I do.

The USA watch and lapel pin are a bit much (one or the other Sarah.) Trust us, we know you LOVE AMERICA!!!!!!

But…

How does one reflect on flag?

I wave flag.

I raise flag.

I wear flag.

I love flag.

I sometimes wear nothing but flag to bed.

But I’m serious. The subtitle is a bit weird.

Reflections on family I get.

Reflections on faith? Been there/done that.

But reflections on flag? I get it, but only because I “get” Sarah Palin.

So… how would you reflect on flag?

I don’t know. Sometimes I have to have flag take me to a dinner before I can reflect on it.

i think you are reading a little too much into it. clearly she’s using the word “flag” in reference to her country. she just needed another “F” word for her subtitle. that’s why she chose ‘flag’ – that’s all. she wrote this book to share her thoughts and feelings about the 3 things closest to heart: her family, her faith, and her country. that’s all. sounds like you may just be trying a little to hard to find something to criticize her about? just my two cents.

i enjoy reading your blog. blessings.

Like I said, I know what she means.

But nobody refers to the American flag as simply “flag.” That’s what I think is funny.

Only secular Muslim socialists use the word “the” on book covers.

Although the fact that flag is not in the background of the picture makes me think she might be an America-hating commie.

maybe she means “flag” as an acronym…like
“Faries, Lesbians and Gays”—-I think she is using it as code to beat ‘em down….

Sarah, that most ex of governors, knows what so many others of her ilk know. The flag sells. Plus, a not so subtle hint to the unwashed that Sarah is oh so much more patriotic than you or I.

“I love… chair. I love… desk. I love… flag. I love… lamp.” Matt, are you just looking at things and saying you love them? “I love flag! I love lamp!”

It’s never too much to ask for a higher standard in alliteratively-parallel, subtitular ghostwriting.

I think it’s a crying shame she forgot her flag earrings, and wouldn’t be over the top to have a flag grillz. She’s made her entire persona based on personifying that Colbert idea of “I am America (and so can you)”. If people aren’t turned off by it yet, why would anyone think she could possibly go overboard? Just keep ramping it up & sell it to the same old groupies.

1. I think MPT is hating on Sarah Palin in regards to this topic. Yeah it’s silly, but come on son! Everybody has silly stuff in their literature work. Even Shakespeare.

2. I don’t get why so many Christians hate on Sarah Palin? I mean she’s a christian, she raises her family as best as she can oh but wait she’s a Republican and Conservative so she’s fair game? I mean the women is mocked in porn movies and humiliated every chance she gets by secular society, why do fellow Christians need to join in the assault?

3. Politically I think she’s a doofus, but personally I can dig her.

Exactly! Great post. I saw the book title and immediately googled to see what the word on the blog street was about the idiotic subtitle. 100% with you, mpt.

KatR–You are too funny. LOL.
