The secret is out-SINNING STOPS HERE! Well, not here. But there, where that sign is, in Newfoundland, Canada. I had no idea. Of course, it doesn’t look like a place where I’d necessarily want to sin or even be tempted to sin. Does it to you?

But any time I think of Newfoundland, I don’t think of “not sinning” or even “sinning,” I think of…

…the Newfoundland dog. And I’m not even sure if the above dog actually originated there. But maybe it did. It does appear happy. And sinless. It’s a bit shaggy. But there’s nothing wrong with being shaggy, right?

When I ponder all-things Newfoundland, I also think of fish, whales, icebergs, and Anne of Green Gables (Yes, I know Anne lived on Prince Edward Island, but that’s somewhat close to Newfoundland-well, in the same general direction.) But apparently, Newfoundland offers a lot more than what its official tourism website advertises. Because in addition to being “rich with history, rife with culture, and sprawling with natural beauty,” Newfoundland also offers a place where the perfect life becomes possible, a place of miraculous healing, where those who seek shall not burn. Instead, we shall become SINLESS! That would suck! Praise the Lord!!!

I think all of that is worth mentioning on their tourism site, don’t you?

Also, seeing this sign has caused me to ponder the question: Why Burn? It’s such a good question, don’t you think? So simple, yet so deep and rife with answers. I mean, seriously, why burn, friends? Why? There’s so much more to life than just burning. So why do it?

Anybody want to go with me to Newfoundland? We could take a cruise. Do some fishing. Watch some whales. Pet a dog. Maybe brush one of them. And then go get sinless. (But don’t worry, I’d definitely schedule the visit to Miracle Temple at the end of the trip.) 😉
