Praise God! ?and many thanks for the prayers for my son, his girlfriend, and the many other students at this conference. The kids returned this afternoon and we have found out that my son and his girlfriend have made a commitment to give their all to following Jesus. While I am overjoyed with this information, I am also wary of the coming days?temptation, doubt, waning resolve. Therefore, I ask the community to please hold these kids up in prayer. The story of God?s moving in the hearts and minds of these students this weekend was (is) incredible. The day I asked for prayer (Friday) my son had just called speaking to my wife, that he wanted to hear from God?the next conference session that he attended (he told us tonight) the first words spoken by the keynote speaker were; ?who wants to hear from God.? I know that seems like a pretty large target, but to a 17 year old who has just asked God to speak to him?well?I think he found affirmation and the touch of a loving Father.
