Hope: New Beginnings

Whether it’s a new job, a new relationship, or a new lifestyle (as brought about by caregiving)…change can be scary and overwhelming.  But, did you ever think about how change can bring hope?  It’s all in the way we choose to see it.

I love this quote:

“It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” –Alan Cohen

What great freedom there is in that sentiment!  What strength! What energy!

This week, let’s focus on the power of that energy to realize that breaking through the fear of starting over can bring many rewards.

Think of change as a signal that it’s time to choose a new path. Let that settle for a moment.  When you think of it like that, nothing’s cut off.  Nothing’s over.  Nothing’s wrong.  It’s simply time to choose a new path.

Allowing yourself to embrace that signal as an exciting opportunity can fuel you with a passion that will re-charge your spirit and get you moving in forward positive motion once again.
