To adopt a child we had to have a home study, training classes, background check, finger print check, psychological evaluations, physical exams, etc. To have a biological child all you have to do is have sex.

Adopted or biological families can have circumstances in life change in an instant. I would love if we had to have birthing liscenses too, if it would work. The problem I see with that is that at time of conception I may be able to pass all the home study, training, background, evals, exams and ect…but that all may change in a matter of a short period of time. I do realize some of these changes are by our choice, but most tramatic changes like broken marriage, death in the family, Illness, addiction ect. are not always in our plan and when in this case marriage fails and a child is longing for a lost parent I dont know that classes would have worked? Maybe this wouldnt be so common if people still cherished marriage and didnt give up so easy and settle for divorce instead of putting the HARD work to keep the family unified. People get selfish and forget that their actions effect the children.

Children may not do what they hear us say, but they will likely model who we are.
I’m so convicted.
