2 more kids…kind of!

posted by Robert Gelinas

For Christmas, Barbara and I got the kids puppies.  Labradoodles to be exact.  They are great dogs and are fitting right into the chaos of our home.  The only question has been, "What to name them?"

I've been lobbying hard for "Louis" (as in Armstrong) and "Coltrane" (as in John).  So a couple of days ago we collected all of name options and had a vote…that's where I made my mistake, since when is this a democracy!  By one vote my chosen names were edged out by…Peter & Edmund.

Hmm…how do I get out of this? (I know, "Let your yes be yes and your no be no.")

What about giving the dogs a first and second name? Peter Louis and Edmund Coltrane? And when they get into trouble you can throw Gelinas in there too.

At least Peter and Edmund are good CS Louis names. It shows your children have culture! (Of course, your names showed culture as well…)
Have fun with all the added chaos!

Wow, I’m just trying to imagine what it would be like to live at your house. Much different from my so quiet house that I turn on movies not to watch but to hear people talking.
I like the name Coltrane….after all this is a jazz-shaped faith house. :) For the other one I’m thinking I would have liked Miles for Miles Davis.
I love Gennaes idea of giving first and middle names.

A Ghost? Or Our God?   By Patricia Raybon It’s dark, cold and early. But I’m excited. On this morning, the most important thing I have to do is hear from God. And not just a little bit. I want to hear without limits. Isn’t that what we’re all saying today? That we want to be blessed by
