Bloggin’ from South Africa

posted by Robert Gelinas

After 20 hours of plane rides with an eight hour lay-over in London we've finally arrived in South Africa.  I'm speaking for YFC's General Assembly.  I'm tired and in serious need of a nap but I can stop staring at all the people arrive for this conference:  99 countries are represented by the 600 attendees.  I met people from Nigeria, Grenada and Senegal in the last 2 minutes…this is going to be a taste of heaven!

To be continued…

Robert, I went to the International Youth Conference in Glascow right after graduating from High School, and I remember thinking the same thing!! So many different people, languages, CLOTHING, everything…all praising Jesus…it was, as you said, a little taste of Heaven!!

Godspeed Traveler,
It is good to see your thoughts in print and know you are fulfilling your call. Your team back in Denver has been praying for this trip all week. It was wonderful to experience your family working side by side with ministry friends and so connected to Christ, community and calling. Barbara blessed the lunch pizza and we sat in the grass listening to Jen tell about travels in Ethiopia. Two little boys were sitting shoulder to shoulder on the porch watching all the people!
We look forward to hearing more as you find the groove back at home.

November is National Adoption Month.  God is up to something.  The Bride of Christ is waking up all across this nation to the need to care for orphans through adoption and foster care. James 1.27 makes it clear that to be Christian is to care for orphans, "Religion that god our Father accepts a

A Ghost? Or Our God?   By Patricia Raybon It’s dark, cold and early. But I’m excited. On this morning, the most important thing I have to do is hear from God. And not just a little bit. I want to hear without limits. Isn’t that what we’re all saying today? That we want to be blessed by
