Is Obama a Muslim?

posted by Robert Gelinas

There is an email circulating claiming that Barack Obama is a Muslim.  In attempt to set the record straight he’s done a series of interviews.  Here’s an excerpt from the conversation he had with Christianity Today.

I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ…

I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life. But most importantly, I believe in the example that Jesus set by feeding the hungry and healing the sick and always prioritizing the least of these over the powerful. I didn’t ‘fall out in church’ as they say, but there was a very strong awakening in me of the importance of these issues in my life. I didn’t want to walk alone on this journey. Accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals.

He also answers questions about abortion and the evangelical vote.  Click here to read the whole interview.

(I found this over at Ed Gilbreath’s Reconciliation Blog.  He’s a wise and insightful man be sure to make him regular read.)

Robert,
Thanks for linking this article. The Clintons will stop at nothing to drag this man down into the mud with them. I posted on the presidential race today.

I’ve seen a smear on the e-mails being circulated that Obama was sworn into office with the Koran. However, two reporters on scene during the swearing in confirmed Obama used his own family bible for the swearing in. My main point here is to verify what your told or sent before passing anything on: it could be mud-slinging gossip.

A Ghost? Or Our God?   By Patricia Raybon It’s dark, cold and early. But I’m excited. On this morning, the most important thing I have to do is hear from God. And not just a little bit. I want to hear without limits. Isn’t that what we’re all saying today? That we want to be blessed by
