Come let us worship…

posted by Robert Gelinas

Englewood and Aurora had different worship experences this weekend.  If you were present at either one, God did some amazing things.

Would you just take time to share what your experience was?

The all music sermon was great, I know that worship is meant for us to give. Though I need to tell you that I definatly recieved from the Lord. I am totally greatfull, and am rejuvinated for the next week to worship the Lord with my life.

I agree. I come to “give” in worship, but I was blessed and filled with the Holy Spirit. I received!!! The music at Aurora is definetly incredible. We are blessed and it makes our worship of God all the more special. I know it shouldn’t be about the “other stuff”, but WOW, it was an atmosphere where God couldn’t be ignored!!!

The best way that I know how to worship God is through song. It is probably the only way that I can give myself completely and without reservations. Music is very much a part of my life, and I believe that is why it touches me in a way that I can’t even express through words. Even if there are no lyrics to the music, I can still worship God. This weekend, and every week during our “music worship” time at church I feel moved by the spirit. I know that is the one way that I can please God is through song.

My experience this week in worship was one that reminded me of the beauty of our diversity. I stood by an older African American man with his arms raised high, and a young white girl whose head was bowed low… both in worship… both bringing joy to the Father of us all.
I would love it if we could have a concert of praise like this more often – maybe once a month on a weeknight? I’m willing to help!

I was able to experience the entire series in my own home in Ohio. I appreciate the stress on making the action ‘verb’ of worship a lifestyle. Worship! Even from a Phil. jail……..even in my storm…
Praise You In This Storm lyrics / Casting Crowns
I was sure by now God you would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
that it’s still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear your whisper through the rain,
I’m with you
and as your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.
Chorus:
And i’ll praise you in this storm
and i will lift my hands
that you are who you are
no matter where I am
and every tear I’ve cried
you hold in your hand
you never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind
you heard my cry you raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can’t find you
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear you whisper through the rain
I’m with you
and as your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away
Chorus
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

A Ghost? Or Our God?   By Patricia Raybon It’s dark, cold and early. But I’m excited. On this morning, the most important thing I have to do is hear from God. And not just a little bit. I want to hear without limits. Isn’t that what we’re all saying today? That we want to be blessed by
