The Jazz Theologian

Blog/Album/Book…of the Week!

A java blog…a Kermit in the Louis tradition…a classic.

Blog of the WeekThe Mile High Buzz is a blog by a man with whom the Lord has seen fit to bless with love, family and coffee.  If you’re in the 5280 city and not fond of the chain java stops then check out this treasure trove of options before you head out to get buzzed.

Album of the Week:  Kermit Ruffins is a New Orleans jazz man who has modeled himself after the legendary Louis Armstrong.  If you like the style of Armstrong, soloing with trumpet and voice, then you’ll enjoy this modern day mimic.

Book of the Week"With Christ in the School of Prayer".  This classic written by South African pastor, Andrew Murray, has spoke to my soul on many occasions.  He makes the obvious, yet mostly missed, oberservation:  If we want to pray like Jesus then Jesus needs to be our teacher.
