It remains the greatest book I’ve ever read. Entebbe: The Jonathan Netanyahu Story, by his youngest brother, Iddo, details the daring hostage rescue by Israeli counter-terrorism units on July 4, 1976, at a remote airport at Entebbe, Uganda.

I read the book one night while staying at the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem and when I placed it on the table next to my chair, I wondered for a split-second if I’d just read fiction or non-fiction. I urge you to get a copy for yourself and read about the courage and values of the Israel Defense Forces; it is quite a different picture than the one painted by Israel’s many enemies.
