One of the beautiful things about believing Bible prophecy is having faith in the promises of God. This is but one thing that makes the Bible unique among sacred texts.

According to the Bible, the Jewish people are eternal. Scores of dictators over time have tried to wipe them out, and as Mark Twain once said, those civilizations sit in twilight now.

Iran is next.

For at least 10 years, the Iranians have had the missile technology to reach Israel. A concern has always been that they would tip missiles with chemical and biological weapons, although the Iranians have always known that Israel would respond with force so lethal, Iran would disappear.

That’s why the Iranians have waited until now. They will soon have, so the conventional wisdom goes, the nuclear capability to wipe out Israel. The Chinese, the Russians, the Pakistanis, and the South Africans have aided Iran in the quest for WMD.

In the realm of chemical weapons, Iran for some time has had rocket, missile, artillery, and aerial bomb capability—to use cyanide, mustard gas, lewisite, phosgene, tabun, and sarine. Biological weapons as well have been developed, including botulinum, ricin and anthrax.

At the very least, Iran has the ability to create chaos just in her own neighborhood. The Saudis, among others, are terrified of a lethal Iran, and the real danger posed by Iran’s drive to nuclear weapons is the very real scenario of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.

Israel, however, is safe. I am swimming against the tide saying this, but I must. If the Bible is true, Israel will not be destroyed, but will survive to one day become that light unto the nations. Isaiah 54:17 tells us that no weapon formed against Israel will work.

It doesn’t matter to me if people think I’m crazy. At least I’m not crazy like the Iranians.
