It is historically obvious that Israel’s many enemies have all gone the way of the dodo bird. Assyria, Babylon…the Nazis.

A fresh wave of Palestinian terrorism has been launched against the state of Israel in the last century, virtually unabated. Yet as I often teach, Isaiah 54 tells us that God promises no weapon formed against the Jews will succeed.

Hundreds of rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza have been launched since Hosni Mubarak was forced from office in Egypt (the Egyptians did a moderately good job of controlling the flow of arms to terrorists in Gaza and the Sinai).

My favorite subject is this: the Bible is true because it is self-authenticating and it reflects reality in our world today. Even though Israel faces many enemies, I am not ashamed to say that I believe Scripture is true. Israel will not be defeated or obliterated by any foreign power. Iran? Please. Antiochus Epiphanes was arrogant once, too.

The Palestinians might be developing more advanced weaponry, but in the end, it will not succeed.

Kassam rockets, like the ones fired at Israel from Gaza today
