What Are You Thankful For?

posted by Jennifer E. Jones

Thanksgiving is here! Bring on the turkey and the stuffing.

I’ll be honest. I was reluctant to embrace the gratitude that this holiday fosters. After a particularly rough November, I simply did not want to be thankful. Like a Thanksgiving Scrooge, I folded my arms and said, “Bah humbug.”

However, gratitude is hard to resist. Even in your toughest times, there’s always something to be thankful for, and like a candle in the darkness, that one thing will shine.

When I stop to think about all the practical things I’m thankful for, the list just grows and grows.

1. Family that provides a home full of peace and love
2. Friends who are loyal and encouraging
3. A job that lets me write wonderful things like this
4. Co-workers who make me laugh
5. My apartment building and my neighborhood where I can take pictures like the one to the right

This is the season where, hopefully, every good thing in your life is illuminated. You can see clearly what brings you joy and how that joy has carried you through the year.

So what are you thankful for? Post a comment below and share it with the world.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear readers. Safe travels if you’re traveling. Blessings and love to you and yours.

I am thankful for God’s love and the love of my famil and friends. Although I am away this Thanksgiving day I am thankful that thye have reached out and wished me continued blessings and a safe and blessed day. I am thankful for the love that Jesus Christ has for me which sustains me and the trials and tribuklations we go through as they make us wiser and stronger. I am thankful that God will never give us more than we can handle.
Blessings to all and a keep the faith.

I am thankful for the nicest people coming in my life as guardian angels. Amazingly, they are always there for me, which I know and are only a whisper away.
God bless them and also I want to thank them today, and thank God for making miracles happen in my life. To learn that goodness and godliness still exist.Amen.

A Quote to Live By

I’ve heard people say, “How do I get over something if it still hurts?” And yes, forgiveness is key, whether it’s aimed towards yourself or someone else. However, it’s not really the main issue. What people really want to know is, “How do I deal with the pain?” The problem with pain
