If You Could Only See

posted by Jennifer E. Jones

This video made the rounds amongst the Beliefnet editors and I wanted to share it here. The next time you get impatient with the world around you, remember to see people through the eyes of compassion.

“Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.”

It’s so true, we ALL have a story and we need reminders sometimes to see beyond our own little world. We can make even a small gesture, like SMILE at someone, and change their day….try it! I was given this thought by a wise woman years ago and keep it close to my heart: “You can never do the wrong thing by being kind.” I try to live by those words, and this video is a similar message.

The Problem with Pain
I’ve heard people say, “How do I get over something if it still hurts?” And yes, forgiveness is key, whether it’s aimed towards yourself or someone else. However, it’s not really the main issue. What people really want to know is, “How do I deal with the pain?” The problem with pain
