ZachBanner small.JPGEach year, Beliefnet presents the Most Inspiring Person of the Year Award to someone who has demonstrated extreme courage, forgiveness, compassion, or self-sacrifice amidst challenging circumstances.

Beliefnet is currently accepting nominations for the Most Inspiring Person of 2010.

Past winners have included the passengers and crew of Flight 93, Pat Tillman, and Randy Pausch.

Last year’s winner, Zach Bonner, then age 12, was selected for his compassionate, selfless service to homeless children. Not only has he made it his mission to call attention to their plight, he literally walks his talk-last year he made a 1200-mile “My House to the White House” walk to raise money to house homeless youth. He has been an amazing “MIPY” Winner and Beliefnet is so grateful for his contributions and his work in making our world a better place. Zach was so popular, he beat out Captain Sully! As the reigning Most Inspiring Person, we thank you, Zach!
