Inspiring Superman Quote by Christopher Reeve

posted by lbrockway

I really love this quote explaining Christopher Reeve’s take  on what Superman is all about. Although Chris never really considered himself a super guy, he was so wise.

Send a Father’s Day card through the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and you can support his mission of helping to increase mobility and extend the lives of people living with paralysis.

As Reeve’s life shows, there really was a Superman.

I have long admired Christopher Reeve both in his acting roles and in his daily role as human being. What made him ‘super’ was his generous heart and his resilience in the face of what might have more seriously devastated a less conscious man. Even before he flew into the role of Superman, he starred in one of my favorite movies with Jane Seymour called Somewhere In Time. After his accident, he did a magnificent job producing In The Gloaming.

Christpher Reeve was not only Superman, but his amazing determination, love and compassion made Him a Super Human Being. His life’s mission was one that very few would have been able to take on and handle with the resilience and positive determinationn that he had. His Beautiful Wife as equally amazing in all that she did to stay by his side, be there for him, and take on his life’s mission as her’s as well.

In life there are ups and downs, and it takes a courageous individual to face hardship. being strong it does not mean in flesh but in the mind and soul. I am presently still trying to find my way in the world as a single mother, sister, and a student. failure is a hard thing to accept especially when you tried your best. I am learning to be patience and wait to hear the voice god.

The Problem with Pain
I’ve heard people say, “How do I get over something if it still hurts?” And yes, forgiveness is key, whether it’s aimed towards yourself or someone else. However, it’s not really the main issue. What people really want to know is, “How do I deal with the pain?” The problem with pain
