Want to do something truly special for Mom this year? Help another mother across the globe save her baby from being born with HIV.

mothers2mothes is a not-for-profit organization that helps pregnant women and new mothers in Africa learn how to prevent the spread of HIV to their children, saving hundreds of thousands of lives a year.  The organization says it costs $71 to send flowers that will last a few days and that a donation of $50 can ensure a child is born free of HIV.

mothers2mothers is honoring Mother’s Day by giving anyone who donates $50 or more a special Mother’s Day card to give to Mom letting her know of your act of kindness on her behalf,  as well as an exclusive music DVD of a song created by 17-year old rising star Rachel Eskenazi and produced by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer entitled “Save An Angel.”

Gifts must be made by April 30, 2010 for gift-recipients to receive their cards and DVDs before Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 9, 2010. Give online at www.m2m.org.
