Exclusive Song Premiere – Gretchen Peters’ “Dark Angel”

Gretchen Peters is a Grammy nominated singer/songwriter best known for penning the Martina McBride classic “Independence Day,” but her own records are just as powerful as that mega hit.  “Dark Angel,” featuring country crooner Rodney Crowell, is the first single off her upcoming album Hello Cruel World, and you can hear it here!  The haunting ballad touches on themes of heaven, loss, love, and ultimately, hope.

Check it out exclusively right here on Beliefnet, and be sure to share it with your friends!

Perfectly-matched voices on a gorgeous song. Recently saw Rodney at the River City Music Festival in Portland, and saw Gretchen Peters last July at WoodyFest in Okemah, OK. Both are uber-talented singer/songwriters….so nice to hear them together.
