‘The View’ Discusses the Virgin Mary and Judas

Heated debates about religion are nothng new to ABC’s “The View”, but I have this week’s spiritual conversations on the gabfest  enjoyable. Yesterday, Whoopi discussed at great length her opinion on Judas as well as whether or not Lady Gaga is a good Catholic. Today the discussion centered around the new Biblical translation that is more gender neutral. Part of that discussion included a debate about calling Mary “a young woman” as opposed to referencing her as specifically a virgin. Some good points were made on both sides of the debate.

I’m just amazed at what.. some people say about religion.. and it makes me wonder what they really know about it ( Without being a “hater” let’s just say I’m saying these persons are just misinformed). Whoopie does bring up something interesting.. possibly about pre-destination saying it must be that Judas was pre-determined to HAVE to betray Jesus. and “Well it’s Cool Judas ” (Jesus talking supposedly ) ” because I need to be betrayed ” In the Gospels of Mark, Matthew AND Luke Jesus says “For the Son of Man (Jesus’s self-reference) goes as it is written of him, but woe to that one by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that one not to have been born.” And in The Gospel of John it states: Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”

And Elton John Having Lady gaga ( who supposedly “Admires Judas” which brought the discussion up in the first place ) – publicity stunt no-doubt–!! — having Lady gaga be the Godmother of his child.. Well the guy is gay.. which is Forbidden in Christianity.. So that whole affair is a joke.. If you want to be gay and religious.. you shouldn’t pick Christianity because basically a person Practicing homosexuality is destined ” not to inherit the kingdom of God ” Which leaves one other destination…
