The movie doesn’t open until next week, but I’m already hearing talk on Christian radio as well as the web about how the independent Christian film “The Grace Card” is going to be the next “Fireproof.” Similar to the way that Kirk Cameron blockbuster was made, “The Grace Card” – a story of two men as they struggle with loss and redemption – is also being funded by church backers who wants to use the movie as a platform for an inspirational message. I am sure they are also hoping for similiar box office results , as “FIreproof” was the most successful truly independent movie of the year.Now longtime Idol Chatter readers know I have mixed feelings about this latest sub-genre of films – what some like to call “Godsploitation” movies- but check out the trailer for yourself.
