posted by dross

Many today are mourning the loss of gospel music star and pastor Rev. Timothy Wright, of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center in Brooklyn, NY, who has died of injuries sustained in a car accident last year that killed his wife and grandson. Joanne Brokaw over at Gospel Soundcheck has the full story.Below is a lovely tribute video which aired last summer as part of the McDonald’s Gospelfest 25th Anniversary Special on WWOR/My9, that shows footage of the beloved singer and asks for prayers.

My heart is broken and I feel so bad because I was waiting for some more music to add to my Timothy Wright collection. My heart goes out to the family and worldwide timothy wright fanatics. I am praying for the church family and friends of the family.

I was saddend and shocked when I heard about his passing on the Radio. I knew how bad the condition was but I didn’t expect him to leave now. but god is too wise to make a mistake. even thought I never got to greet him personally but I enjoyed his music Ministry and how he inspired other gospel artists and Musicians. As well as everything he did for COGIC (Church of God In Christ). If I was to name my favorite songs by this man, the list would take forever to name them all. thought I refuse to be sad but I’m rejoicing in the fact that his troubled days are now over. My prayers are with the Wright Family, the Grace Tabernacle COGIC, the New York Fellowship Mass Choir, and everybody that was close to him. I leave by saying that the Godfather has gone home to be with God!

For anyone to leave this world before time isn’t God’s will. For he come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Our adversary, satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Sometimes things just happen in life without divine or demonic intervention. This is why we all must be ready at all times because we don’t know when I tiem will be up. Serve God with your whole heart daily and give him thanks for every breath that you take. May God bless you all that read this and may his word light your path way. Be bless.

My prayers go out the the Wright Family and his Church family, I pray that the children will stay the course that was shown to them by the parents, and knowing that God never makes a mistake he has left a wonderful legacy for us to carry on and his music will live on in the lives of the Gospel Community forever. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. The entire church community fells the loss of this mighty man of God, but we know that he is no longer suffering or in pain, he has gone on to eternal reward.

My prayers are with his family, church members and friends. We have lost a truly great man in the music industry. As I stated before his music touched my heart like no other music and it has helped me to stay the course. He now is free and if he could share with the world in song that which he knows now it would shake the foundation of this earth. So, let us all live a righteous life and focus on the day when we will rejoyce and shout when we see our loved ones again. Amen

I remember when Rev. Wright said the next time we see him he will be walking. Yes, he is walking in glory with his wife and grandson. My heart goes out to the family and friends. I loss my father to a car crash last year in September, so I understand the heartache and pain of the family. Pain endureth for one night but joy will come in the morning. May God Bless you all.
