tupacbetterpictmz.jpgIn the world of music and pop culture, the question “Is Tupac really dead?” will generate as many answers and explainations as “Is there a God?” and “What’s the meaning of life?” Everyone has an opinion.
According to media reports (and, um, Wikipedia) Tupac Shukur died on September 13, 1996 after being shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. To go into the background surrounding Tupac’s gang life, successful rap career, and the many enemies he made over the course of his life would take a lot more time than I’m willing to go into here. However, I have heard good things about the (aptly?) titled 2003 documentary “Tupac: Resurrection” in case you’re interested). According to many Tupac fans, he’s alive, most likely in hiding and/or in a federal witness protection program. The search term “Tupac is alive” on Google yields 248,000 results–many of the articles that come up, like this one, Top 20 Reasons Why 2Pac is Alive, attempt to provide answers to exactly why Tupac would have faked his death.
Now, TMZ has posted a photo, claiming it is the rapper drinking at a bar in New Orleans last weekend.
What do you think? Is it really Tupac? Just a look-a-like? Post your thoughts below.
