I don’t “do” FB but would joining Twitter and tweeting occasionally, like when you have a new blog post up at your site? That way folks like myself could retweet your tweets! :)

I understand completely. I use it for lesson planning & to keep up with books I might want to add to my collection. As the only librarian in my school I find it useful for keeping in touch with my colleagues. Thanks for a great blog! I enjoy each and every one of your posts!
