Make Your Own Citrus Deodorizer

posted by lwhite

9-12-JarsTo save money, you can create your own citrus deodorizer for your home. It will cost less than buying commercial ones, but will smell just as good and help to mask odors. Here’s how to make one:

1. Fill a large pot with water and add any citrus—grapefruit, lemon or orange and that can be slices, leftover wedges or rinds.
2. Add a dash of cinnamon or cinnamon sticks, and simmer on low heat.
3. Then, you can make it even spicier by dropping other spices, like allspice, nutmeg or even a peppermint stick.
4. Watch this pot and don’t let it boil dry. Pour into small glass jars and you can punch holes in the lids, so the aroma will make a room smell nice.
