Smelly Plastic Containers?

plasticontainerIf the inside of plastic bowls or storage containers stink, here’s how you can get rid of the odors.

* Make a paste of baking soda and water.
* Rub this all over the interior surfaces and let sit overnight.
* Wash with hot soapy water, rinse well and dry.

    What to do if someone has melted (in the microwave) scented soap in your Tupperware, and now the bowl smells like perfumed soap? I’ve tried soaking for days with plain water, also straight vinegar, and then baking soda…still smells. I’ve thought about possibly using rubbing alcohol…thinking maybe it would mess with the integrity of the plastic and release the smell?
