How to Tell if a Pineapple is Ripe

posted by sballou

1. Pick the pineapple up and sniff the bottom, which should have a sweet smell.
2. Next, pull out a leaf, which should come out easily, which indicates it’s ripe.

If more people than there are leaves want to check this theory out at the greengrocer’s, how will the last ones know when the pineapple is finally good to eat?
