Achieving Excellence, Part I

There is an old Hindu legend that tells when the Gods were making the world they asked,
‘Where can we hide the most valuable of treasures, so that they will not be lost?
How can we hide them so that the lust and greed of men will not steal or destroy them.
What can we do to make sure that these riches will carry on from generation to generation
for the benefit for all mankind?’

So in their wisdom they selected a hiding place that was so obvious that it would not be seen
and there they placed the true riches of life endowed with the true power of perpetual self-replenishment.  In this hiding place these treasures can be found by every living person in every land who follows the success system that never fails.

Where is this hiding place?  The most valuable of treasures are  hidden within you.
No one can steal or destroy them.  You cannot lose them.
For the true riches of life are hidden in the hearts and minds of man.

THE KEYS TO ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE IN ANY OR ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE:

1) Daily Meditation
Consistent meditation improves your life in all areas; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. Meditation assists you in detaching from the daily “mind set” or your conditioning and to discover your true greatness as an unlimited spiritual and human being.

Benefits of Meditation:

  • Reduced stress
  •  Strengthening of the body’s immune system
  • Slowing of biological aging processes
  • More orderly thinking
  • Improved intellectual abilities
  • Enhanced appreciation for enjoying life
  • Greater ease in overcoming or renouncing addictive behaviors
  • Spontaneous psychological transformation
  • More obvious, awakened spiritual growth

I highly recommend Roy Eugene Davis’ “An Easy Guide to Meditation.”
You can find it on his website and download it or order the pamphlet from CSA.

2) Self-Inventory
Writing out a complete self-inventory clarifies all of your qualities and where you are in your patterns of thought, actions and results in your life.  By acknowledging your truth you see the specific growth and progress you have made to date, determine what your most important qualities are and where your focused attention and effort must be to achieve your divine plan.

Go to my blog entry “
Self Mastery” on May 11, 2011 for complete instructions on how to complete this insightful experience.

3) Elimination List & Forgiveness
Writing out your Elimination List for all relatives, friends, associates and people in your life, who you need to forgive or need forgiveness from, will free you to create the life and results you want.  It allows you to clear your mind, spirit and energy to freely create a new space or canvas to paint the masterpiece of your life.

Go to my blog entry “
The Miracle of Elimination & Forgiveness to Create Prosperity” on May 13, 2011 for more information.  I highly recommend Catherine Ponder’s book, “Open Your Mind to Prosperity.”

The Miracle of Elimination & Forgiveness to Create Prosperity

posted by The MEGA Coach

From “Open Your Mind to Prosperity” by Catherine Ponder:

You cleanse your mind for prosperity and attract your good by first writing out what you want to eliminate from your life.  By writing out what you want to eliminate, you open the space and create a vacuum for what you want to manifest.  Just like planting a victory garden, you want to clear and weed the soil so that it is clean and fertile before planting your highest quality seeds and plants (dreams and desires).

If you want to be prospered, healed and have your prayers answered, you must clean up and clean out your life.  It is said that God (as divine law) withholds the next development until order is first established in the present situation.

After you write out your elimination list, the next step to cleanse your mind for prosperity is by practicing forgiveness.  Holding grudges and negative feelings toward others, or toward yourself blocks your own prosperity.

Until you practice forgiveness, your true prosperity will not come.

When you hold resentment toward someone of something, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel.  The practice of forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and be free.

The word forgive means “to give up or let go.”  Forgiveness is a pleasant inner act that leaves you at peace with yourself and others.  Forgiveness is also a constant process.  It needs to be done on a regular basis with any negative feelings toward people or conditions.  Along with declaring that you forgive other people, declare that they also forgive you.  Also release situations or conditions you have been unable to resolve.

A good formula is to forgive your enemies and release your friends.  Forgive the people you hate or resent. Release the people you love.  Remember that you never lose anything that still belongs to you by divine right, through the act of emotional release.  Instead, you make way for your good to manifest in grander ways than ever before.

“I now let go of worn out things, worn out conditions, and worn out relationships.
Divine order is now established and maintained in me and in my world.”

“The inflow and outflow of everything in my life is established in divine order.
I am peaceful and poised.”

“All that has offended me, I forgive.  Within and without, I forgive.
Things past, things present, things future I forgive.  I forgive everything and everybody
who can possibly need forgiveness in my past and present.  I forgive positively everyone.
I am free and all others are free, too.  All things are cleared up between us, now and forever.”

I now release and am released from everything and everybody that are no longer part of the divine plan for my life.  Everything and everybody that are no longer part of the divine plan for my life now release me.”

“I am in right relationship with all people and all situations now.”

 prosperously yours,
:) Lee

Wisdom from The Masters

posted by The MEGA Coach

From “The Divine Romance” by Paramahansa Yogananda:

Isn’t it strange that the joy of God is there, yet you cannot feel it?
The reason you do not know His Bliss is that you are intoxicated with the ego feeling.

Your real nature is calmness.  You have put on a mask of restlessness:
the agitated state of your consciousness resulting from the stimuli of feelings.
You are not that mask; you are pure, calm Spirit.
It is time you remember who you are: the blessed soul, a reflection of Spirit.
Take off the mask of feeling.  Face your Self.

You imprison yourself in various moods and this is the cause of all your sorrows.
To escape, you have to dissolve the feelings and emotions connected with body consciousness.
Meditation is the way.

So long you have thought of yourself as having certain qualities, with their characteristic feelings and emotions.  Patanjali says you are masquerading as these passions and desires because you have done it for so many incarnations that you have utterly forgotten your real nature.  Once you realize that each day you are only impersonating different characteristics according to your changing feelings, you will not be the same person; you will be able to cast off these delusive states.  When you realize that passion and anger are not part of your true nature, these emotions will no longer have any control over you.  Every person is innately wonderful; they only have to rid themselves of the mask of ego consciousness.  Remember that.

The very nature of restlessness is such that by the time you are feeling pleasure from one thing you are already looking for something different, a persistent discontent stirred by feeling.  But bliss – the joy of God hidden in your soul – is always new, always constant in your consciousness.  Because it gives complete satisfaction, there is no more restlessness in you.  I hope you understand the value of what I am telling you today.  It is the way to freedom from all sorrow.

You may say, “If we do away with our feelings and like and dislikes, won’t we become like numb matter, useless to the world?  Is that what Patanjali teaches us?”  No.  He says that when you have mastery of your feelings you abide in your true state.  The true state of the Self, the soul, is bliss, wisdom, love and peace.  It is to be so happy that no matter what you are doing you enjoy it.  Isn’t that much better than to blunder through the world like a restless demon unable to find satisfaction in anything?  When centered in your true self, you do every task and enjoy all good things with the joy of God.  Filled with His intoxicating bliss, you joyfully perform all actions.

Who has control of feeling follows truth, shares that truth wherever they can and avoids annoying unnecessarily anyone who would not be receptive anyway.  They know when to speak and when to be silent, but they never compromise their own ideals and inner peace.  Such a person is a great force for good in this world.  You can open the door of realization only through deep daily meditation.

May you live from your true essence and manifest the divine plan of your life, under grace and in perfect ways.

You are a Magnificent, Unlimited, Eternal and Immortal Spiritual Being and what you are is BEAUTIFUL!

blessings,

Self Mastery

posted by The MEGA Coach

Great Wise Horned Owl

THE SUCCESS OF A PHYSICAL LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, MOST WORTHY,
BUT THE PERFECTION OF YOURSELF IS A THOUSAND TIMES MORE VALUABLE
THAN ALL THE WEALTH YOU CAN ACCUMULATE ABOUT  YOU.

The fact is that enlightenment is possible during your lifetime.
You can be, do and have whatever is for your highest good.
Self Mastery is the true purpose for our  lives on this planet.
Since we each have free choice, we each choose to create our lives with our own preferences.

Here is a suggestion for a powerful breakthrough.
Take out a piece of paper (a legal pad works great) and  on top of the page in the center,
write, “My Qualities,.”  Then draw a line down the center of it.
On the left side at the top write “Positive” and on the right side at the top write “Negative.”

Start with any of your negative qualities and write each one down on the list on the right.
Observe any negative pattern, behavior or quality that you have and write them down.
Be sincere and do not judge yourself, be honest and acknowledge what is.
Be courageous and tell the truth about yourself and when you are complete review your list.
Make sure that you have everything negative about yourself listed so you are complete.

Then look and observe your positive qualities and write each one down on the list on the left.
Continue being honest and acknowledge any positive quality, behavior or pattern about yourself.
Make sure that you go total.  This is a time for absolute disclosure and for revealing everything.
It is ok to talk about yourself to yourself.  This is not a time for modesty, it is a time for total truth.
Make sure that you have everything positive about yourself listed so you are complete.

You may notice that you run out of qualities to describe you.  Give it a few minutes and you will find
that more come to mind and flow out in little streams of creativity.  For both the negative and positive qualities, allow yourself a little additional time when you think you are done and when nothing else comes you will know.

When I did this exercise recently, I could only come up with about 25 negative qualities.
I kept thinking there had to be more and sincerely searched and could not find any more.
I even shared them with my wife and asked her if I had missed any.  :)
Then I wrote out the positive qualities and stopped at about 40.  I thought that I was done.
Then a whole stream opened and I came up with another 40.  Then it stopped.  I sat for a minute or two
and then another stream opened and I came up with another 20, then another 30.  I was actually shocked at how many positive qualities I came up with.

Allow yourself to go through your own process.  There is no right or wrong way to do this.
This is your Self Inventory.  When you have everything listed, go over your negative qualities and ask yourself  if your negative qualities have increased in intensity or decreased in intensity over the past few years, 5 years, 10 years, etc.  You may be quite surprised about what you discover about even you “negative patterns.”

Then review your positive qualities and do the same thing.  Have they decreased or increased over the years in quantity and intensity?  Then  look at both sides of your list and see what you see.  Acknowledge the truth about your patterns of behavior, conduct and qualities.

By having the courage to acknowledge the truth, the truth shall set you free.
You can now make clear, conscious choices about where you are and where you want to go.
These patterns of behavior determine the true quality of your life, health, relationships and true success.
They are much more important that money, material possessions or most goals and objectives you have.

It is very possible that after completing this powerful excercise that you will experience a breakthrough.

Feel free to email me about it either through the comments here or directly at themegacoach@cox.net.
I would love to hear from you.

smiles,
:) Lee
