Have a Magnificent Day!

By Andy Rooney

I’ve learned…. the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
I’ve learned…. when you’re in love, it shows.
I’ve learned…. just one person saying to me, ‘You’ve made my day!’ makes my day.
I’ve learned…. having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.
I’ve learned…. being kind is more important than being right.
I’ve learned…. you should never say no to a gift from a child.
I’ve learned…. I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the strength to help him in some other way.
I’ve learned…. sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.
I’ve learned…. simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.
I’ve learned…. life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
I’ve learned…. we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.
I’ve learned…. money doesn’t buy class.
I’ve learned…. it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I’ve learned…. under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I’ve learned…. to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I’ve learned…. when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I’ve learned…. love, not time, heals all wounds.
I’ve learned…. the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I’ve learned…. everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
I’ve learned…. no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
I’ve learned…. life is tough, but I’m tougher.
I’ve learned…. opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.
I’ve learned…. when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I’ve learned…. I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.
I’ve learned…. one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
I’ve learned…. a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I’ve learned…. everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.

“Everything is Spirit – in essence, though hidden in manifestation.  If you had the perception, you would see God in everything.”
Paramahansa Yogananda

On this day of your life I believe God wants you to know…
…everything is perfect Right Here, Right Now.
And Right Here, Right Now is all there is.
Forget about the past.  It does not exist, except in your memory.
Drop it and stop worrying about how you’re going to get through tomorrow.
Life is going on Right Here, Right Now — pay attention to that and all will be well.
Embrace the present moment with gratefulness and wonder, and you will turn it into
Whatever you have been waiting for.

positive thinking

Do you have a positive mental attitude?  Success is 80% attitude and 20% aptitude and our attitude determines our results.

If you want to know exactly where you are in your life, just observe and take inventory of your current relationships, health, financial situation and results.  Acknowledge the truth of what is and you will see your current level of success.  No judgment, just the facts.  Are you happy, healthy and prospering?

Are you positive in your Self Talk and Acknowledgement?  These factors are keys to your success or failure.

Whatever we think about or acknowledge is where we focus our energy.  This is the Power of Focused Attention and the Law of Attraction.  Our choices and decisions are determined by our beliefs, thoughts and values.  We direct and program our own mind or we allow others to do it for us.

Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.  Consistently be and think positive.  Create a positive, mental attitude using positive self-talk.  Be a source of encouragement for others and empower others with your positive energy and words.  Consistently take positive actions.

When you discover a negative thought, stop, say, “next” and then replace it with three positive thoughts.  When you discover you are saying something negative to yourself or others, stop, say, “cancel, cancel, cancel” and then say something positive.

Develop good habits in your thoughts, words and actions.  Make sure you are taking action in the best possible way to leverage your resources.  Do the most important and productive things first.

Surround yourself with positive and uplifting people.  Create a positive and nurturing home environment and work environment.  Make sure you have an encouraging team – family, friends, co-workers, etc.

Discover what you want and why you want it…the universe will show you the how.  Trust and have faith!  You can do it!

Make your life a masterpiece!

Prosperously yours,
🙂 Lee

Respect – The Key To Life
by Dave Chief, Grandson of Red Dog, Crazy Horse’s Band

“Respect means no interruption.
Respect means no confrontation.
Respect means no accusation.
Respect means no “mocking,”
Especially, no mocking of elders.

Respect means no lies between us.
Respect means no betrayal of confidence.
Respect means no “ripping off.”
Respect means no hording.

Respect means no “Lording it over” someone.
Respect means no ordering around.
Respect means no yelling in anger.

Respect means no bad language.
Respect means no name calling.
Respect means controlling yourself.

Respect is not a commodity.
Respect is a way of being.

Respect is in our chest not in our hand.
Respect is for all of life.
Respect is for every species in the world, including all four races.
Respect is for all our relations.

Respect is focusing on and dealing in “issues” and not “personalisms.”
Respect is focusing on “what” is right rather than “who” is right.

Respect means owning our own negativity and not being a “Blame Shifter.”  A “Blame Shifter” is one who projects or shifts his own negativity onto someone else.  This is the process of bigotry, war, and genocide.

Respect is keeping the lines of communication open with those who have a different opinion, and making a sincere attempt to let them be heard and understood.

Respect means listening until everyone has been heard and understood, only then is there a possibility for “Balance and Harmony,” the goal of Indian spirituality.

The Indian prayer, “All My Relations” is a prayer of Respect for the Hoop of Life.  Almost everyone believes Respect is a good thing but few people have a clear idea of what Respect means or what Respect looks like.

with love and respect,
