A wise man suggested to me, “Sometimes God puts you on your back so you can look up.”
At times, life shows up with challenges for each of us. The key is how you receive it, so being present with an open attitude goes a long way for a healthy and successful process.
The world is facing its toughest financial times since the Great Depression. Many people find themselves being forced to look up because they are on their backs. The challenges may be spiritual, mental, emotional, physical or financial. They may concern your health, your family and personal relationships. They may relate to your work or career.
No one on planet earth gets a free ride without trials and tribulations. We all come here to learn important lessons and to grow. Everyone makes their own choices and creates their reality. We each focus on what we want and reap the harvest of our thoughts, words and actions in our lives.
One thing for certain, it is the challenges and problems that reveal a person’s true character. It is easy to be kind and generous in good times, when everything is going your way. But it is even more important to follow proper principles when you are on your back, dealing with your challenges.
Can you still find a smile or a kind word or deed for others at your toughest times?
It is the love and kindness that truly touches our souls and makes a difference in our lives. It is the love and kindness that we take with us when we leave this life. It is the love and kindness that lights our way and empowers us to transcend the biggest challenges.
Know that a great and Higher Power, an Infinite Intelligence is here to help you. No matter what the challenge, there is always love and hope.
You may be flat on your back, but there is always a way to love, peace and freedom. You have to want it sincerely and believe. As a matter of fact, you are already moving towards it now. You can overcome any situation and achieve anything in life. It requires your focus and energy.
We have so much to be thankful for.
Your consciousness and vision immediately starts the process of creation. With every thought, belief, word and deed, you move in that direction. Feel how you would feel. See what you would see. Say what you would be saying to yourself. Use your imagination and fully associate yourself in the experience.
Keep your vision focused and consistent.
Even in difficult situations or economic times, opportunities are always present. All things are possible, there is GOLD DUST in the air.
Whether you want to improve your health, break an addiction or negative behavior pattern, create a better relationship, business or financial goal, you can do it.
Stay positive and associate with positive people who support you unconditionally. Use your energy wisely and do not share your dreams or innermost desires with negative people who do not support your truth.
Remember a time when you felt in the flow or in the zone. You were not thinking or trying to make something happen. You were just being there, in the moment.
Stay open, positive and expect miracles!

A wonderful metaphor:
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She fished out the carrots and placed them in a bowl. She pulled out the eggs and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled out the coffee and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, “Tell me what you see.”
“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.
Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its richness and savored its aroma. The daughter then asked, “What does it mean, mother?”
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity — boiling water. Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
“Which are you?” she asked her daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?”
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat?
Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst; you become even better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?
The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of things that come their way.
Have a Magnificent Day!

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.”
True love is the highest vibration. Partnership with someone who shares this energy adds another dimension to life. It is a divine fulfillment. You become a better person and more of you.
Dreams do come true! 18 years ago today my wife and I went on our first date and have been together ever since. Later we married on my Grandma’s 100th birthday, in her living room. What a blessing!
Learning every day how amazing love is…how strength comes from gentleness.
