In The Prophet, Kahlil Gilbran described the loving attitude of release in marriage: “Love one another, but make not a bond of love….let there be spaces in your togetherness…sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone…stand together yet not too near together.”
He described the loving attitude of release toward children in these words: “Your children are not your children, They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you….You may house their bodies but not their souls….You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.”
Nowhere is there more need for the expression of love as release than between husbands and wives, between parents and children. We often try to bend others to our will, calling it love when it is really selfish possessiveness that binds instead of frees. Then we wonder why others resist instead of accepting our “help.”
If you want to free yourself from all types of problems in mind, body and affairs, you must release others to find their good in their own way. A clear channel is then opened for a great good to come to all involved. Your own freedom and well-being depend upon such release, as do the freedom and well-being of your loved ones.
“I FULLY AND FREELY FORGIVE. I CAST AWAY ALL JUDGEMENTS, RESENTMENTS & CRITICISMS TO BE DISSOLVED AND HEALED. THE PROSPERING TRUTH SETS ME FREE TO MEET MY RICH GOOD AND TO SHARE MY GOOD WITH OTHERS.”

“Everything is happening in perfect, divine order.”
Florence Scovel Shinn
Everything is made up of energy. All energy is created from the same original substance and by the creative force of the universe. It is available to everyone and does not discriminate.
Start where you are. Do what you can with what you have where you are. Do your best.
Trust that where you are is where you are supposed to be. Take the next step from where you are. One thing leads to another even though you may not be able to see the next step from where you currently are.
You are not given the entire picture, just the next step. Have faith that by taking the next step, your next move will present itself afterwards. You may not be able to see it from your present vantage point.
Life is a game. It goes A to B, B to C, C to D. It does not go A to Z no matter how much you want it to be that way. Have faith and courage to take one step at a time and trust the universe to support you without having to see every detail before you do anything.

From Catherine Ponder, The Prospering Power of Love:
“There are definite, simple ways you can pour out the healing power of love on your negative memories, so that you can be free of them forever. As you do become free of these destructive emotions, you cease crucifying yourself and others and you are then ready for resurrected good. It is wise to fast from negative memories of the past, grudges, criticisms, spite, feelings of injustice and hurt and any inharmonious thoughts or feelings.
There are two special ways you can fast from negative attitudes and tune in on the healing power of love, which makes you whole in mind, body and affairs. These special ways are the act of release and the act of forgiveness. Release and forgiveness are parts of love. When you find that other phases of love have not healed some troublesome condition in your life, you may discover that it is because you have not invoked the releasing, forgiving phases of love. When you do, satisfying results will surely come.
It is said that love in a many splendored thing, but often when the pruning power of love is at work in your life you may have felt that love is a “many-splintered” thing. When you are willing to release and forgive, the splinter (or “thorn in the flesh”) is transformed into a splendid result and you find that love is able to direct your course to greater good.
Through release and forgiveness you break up, cross out, dissolve and are freed forever from the negative attitudes and memories that have limited you to less than the highest and best in your experience. A freeing, forgiving attitude raises your good and brings it to life. Invoke the healing power of love through freeing and forgiving the negative experiences of your past and present and you will find yourself well on the way to resurrected good.
It is the spiritual law that you must forgive if you want to demonstrate over your own difficulties and make any real progress in life. To forgive simply means to set free, to liberate, by “giving” something positive in place of or “for” something negative. If you want to free yourself from all types of problems in mind, body and affairs, you must release others to find their good in their own way.”

Because you are a spiritual being, you already have the ability to either remove or transcend all limiting conditions that may have, until now, opposed your endeavors to live freely, enjoyably and effectively. As this is being accomplished, the necessary resources and supportive events, circumstances and relationships for your highest good will be spontaneously provided and your spiritual growth will be rapid and satisfying.
Nurture Spiritual Awareness
Lack of understanding is the primary obstacle to spiritual growth. Replace unknowingness with insight into your true nature and your relationship with the Infinite, You are a unit of one field of Consciousness (God). Ponder it until you comprehend it. While believing this to be so is helpful, realizing (knowing and experiencing) it is redemptive: it restores soul awareness to wholeness. Discard the erroneous notion that there is a separation between spiritual and material realities. The universe is a manifestation of cosmic forces emanated from and sustained by one field of Consciousness.
Nurture spiritual awareness by using your powers of intelligence and intuition to discern the difference between your essence of being, ordinary (blurred and fragmented) states of awareness and the various moods that you may sometimes experience. Observe the distinction between you as an observer and what you observe. It is only the acquired habit of identifying with modified mental states and objective phenomena that causes and sustains the illusion (misperception) of independent existence. Replace troublesome habit with the soul-liberating habit of constant, divine self-remembrance and God-awareness.
Meditate daily to the stage of superconsciousness, then sit in the deep silence. As your awareness becomes clarified, your innate knowledge of the one field of Consciousness and its processes will be unveiled. Exceptional powers of perception and extraordinary functional abilities will emerge. You will discover that whatever you can vividly imagine and believe to be real, if it can be manifested in accord with the laws of nature, can be expressed or experienced.
Creative imagination and skillful living will enable you to live as you deserve to live. It is your destiny to be spiritually enlightened. At the innermost level of your being you are now whole, serene and knowledgeable. Assume this to be true and let it be actualized.
