Meditation:
One of the wisest practices for health, well being and spiritual growth is daily meditation.  It improves mental clarity, creativity and dissolves negative patterns of addiction.  Meditation is good for every area of life and brings harmony, balance and goodness.

Study at Harvard – Meditation practice helps to increase brain function, reduce the effects of aging on the brain and improve concentration and memory – Dr. Sara Lazar.

U of Wisconsin and Harvard in 2003 – a growing body of research suggests that meditation can significantly enhance our immune system.  Long-term meditators – improvements in sleep, blood pressure, calmer heartbeat, better circulation and younger biological and functional ages.  They pay significantly less money to doctors – 87% lower heart disease cost.

Meditation empowers people to focus on solutions through relaxation and peace of mind.  Meditation also improves listening, learning and memory skills.  Meditators are superior learners and remember more of what they study.

Being Healthy:
Good health enables us to maximize our potential in all areas of our development.  The body and brain is approximately 70% water, so drink lots of water.  We need to drink half of our body weight in ounces per day.  For example, if you weigh 160 lbs, divide by 2 = 80 ounces or 10 – 8oz glasses of water a day.  Our body needs the right fuel – 70% green – veggies, salads, fruits and high water content nutrition daily.  If you want to live, eat foods that are alive!

The human body thrives on high water content and alkaline foods.  Eating nutritious foods and drinking lots of water promotes proper body weight.  A dehydrated body retains weight and eating processed foods/fast foods, sugar and soda clogs the digestive system and puts on weight.  8 out of 10 Americans are overweight or obese.

In addition to eating healthy and drinking lots of water on a daily basis, exercise is very important.  There are many good forms of exercise.  One of the most powerful exercise is rebounding – bouncing on a mini-trampoline.  According to NASA, it is the most effective exercise on the planet and astronauts rebound as part of their conditioning program.

Communication:
Being alive on this planet requires interacting with other people and being an excellent communicator is key to achieving successful relationships.  People have different styles of communicating.  Some are visual and fast paced, others are a auditory and a little slower and speak with more resonance and tone and others are more feeling oriented and tend to move more slowly.  Although we use all of these three forms of communication, we have a primary communication strategy.  Practice all three of these styles of communication to be a flexible communicator.

Communication is 7% words, 38% tone and 55% body language.  Many people focus on the words which is the least accurate form of communication.  (This explains why most people do not do what they say.) Focus on people’s tone and body language to determine the congruency of a person’s communication, including yours.
