The ancients knew a secret about the universe that you should know, too.  When you are aware of this universal truth, you can turn failure into success, disappointment into increased understanding and loss into gain.

The secret is this:

God, as a loving Father, has prepared unlimited, boundless good of each of His children, including you.  This good is eternal – ever available.  It cannot be taken from you.  When your good seems to have been withheld or taken, it is because your own attitudes and actions have withheld it!  Not the attitudes or actions of others, but your own attitudes have caused the lack or have blocked the expression of your good.  This universal good has countless way of expressing, unless blocked by the thoughts of man.

Whatever has been taken from you can be divinely restored!

Realize the great truth pointed out by Emerson in his essay Compensation, where he states that for everything you lose, you gain something.  Remembering this, you can invoke the Law of Divine Restoration.  Stop dwelling on apparent losses in your life and start looking for the growth and gain that came through them.  For every loss there has been a gain, so drop the loss and take the gain!
