From the I Ching by Brian Browne Walker:

If you persevere a great success is at hand.

Imagine a blade of grass pushing against an obstacle as it sprouts out of the earth.  This is a sign that beyond the difficulties and pressures that surround you, a success lies waiting.  In order to bring it fully into the light, you must be patient and persevere in nonaction.

No matter how fervently you desire to resolve a situation, to intervene impatiently now will only hinder the progress of good fortune.  Accept and bear with the discomfort of chaos without attempting to push it away.  Allowing it to clear of its own accord, in its own time, is the only way of insuring a subsequent blossoming of success.

Hold to proper principles.  In your actions, seek and respect the counsel of the Sage.  Allow those whose hearts are true to assist you wherever possible; be tolerant of all others.  In this way the blessing that now lies hidden will come into the open.

There is great wisdom here.  See where this metaphor fits in your life.  When starting something new, whether a personal relationship, a new health, exercise or eating program, a project or business, the beginning stages are usually the most difficult.  It is during these times when perseverance, patience and tolerance are very important.

Regardless of the challenges you are facing success is still possible.  Follow your heart and intuition and take it one step at a time.  A to B, B to C, C to D, etc.  Stay true to proper principles and correct attitude and conduct.

It is the journey, the lessons and what you become that is most important.
Difficulty in the beginning can lead to success in the end.

smiles,
