For every tragedy, there are a thousand joys.
For every setback, there are countless ways to go positively forward from it.

As painful as the losses can be, love will heal to an even greater degree.
In the darkest of times, hope shines more brightly than ever.

What you have is so much more than what you can touch or see.
What you have is everything that is, and all that can ever be.

Know that God’s love and light is always with us.
Every moment holds our greatest good and possibilities.

Let go of any concern for what does or does not come your way.
Focus on the good and valuable things that you can give, create, inspire and choose to experience.

Choose to transform the world around you with your own positive outlook.
Real joy is always a choice you can make.

Live with joy and let happiness flow out from you.
Life becomes more radiant with each passing moment.

This specific inspirational message is something that has helped my wife and I deal with some of the losses and challenges in our lives.  We lost our son Jerome in 2005 in a car accident and our lives will never be the same.  I have this message saved in my computer with some other special affirmations and for the past few years have used it often for healing and encouragement.  I did not know who the author was and recently posted it on my blog on January 26th, 2011 as author unknown.   I just found out that the words are from one of my mentors, Ralph Marston.

Ralph is a gifted man and author.  I have subscribed to his wonderful inspirations and website for many years at The Daily Motivator, http://greatday.com.  I want to acknowledge Ralph as the author of this information and also acknowledge him for his contribution to my life and work.  I started writing daily inspirations around 1995 and shared them with my friends and family.  In 2005 I came across Ralph’s Daily Motivator, became a loyal fan and continue to find it uplifting and helpful to improve my outlook and attitude in life.

I contacted Ralph to let him know how much I appreciate his work and its benefits and he was kind enough to allow me to use some of his information at times.  I feel that since I read and integrate a lot of his daily messages for the past 7 years, that quite a bit of his wisdom, insight and approach to life resonates with me.  Some of my writing reflects this.  My daily blogs for February 17th & 18th share some of Ralph’s message and words.

I am very thankful and appreciative for Ralph’s contributions and generosity, he is an “inspiration to my inspiration.”  I feel that the most important service we can offer is to help someone else on their path in life in whatever way, large or small.  A kind word, a smile, a little encouragement or a positive idea make a difference.  This is why I share my daily inspirational messages on BeliefNet.  I believe that Ralph and I share this important truth.  Helping others is the wind beneath our wings.

I highly recommend that you go to Ralph’s wonderful website and discover for yourself his gift of motivation, joy and a successful life.

In gratitude,
🙂 Lee
