I shared a press release with you yesterday from the group Life Decisions International (LDI), which said that Idol Gives Back’s charities have ties to abortion groups.
In a statement today, the group corrects one part of the statement, where they claim Simon Cowell is the chief executive officer of International Save the Children.
In the release they say FOX contacted contacted LDI to say “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell is not chief executive officer of International Save the Children Alliance (ISCA).
I’ll share the entire release, so you can read it yourself:

Update: ‘Idol Gives Back’ — To Pro-Abortion Groups
FRONT ROYAL, Va., April 21 /Christian Newswire/ — FOX Television has contacted Life Decisions International (LDI) to say “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell is not chief executive officer of International Save the Children Alliance (ISCA), as was reported in LDI’s press release earlier today.
After rechecking public records, LDI has determined that FOX is correct. The current CEO, Jasmine Whitbread, was appointed to the position just last month.
LDI has contacted International Save the Children Alliance every year since “Idol Gives Back” started in 2007. Every letter and email has gone unanswered.
“We have tried and tried but have been unable to get ISCA to respond to our queries,” said LDI President Douglas R. Scott, Jr. “We wanted to let ISCA know exactly why we opposed its activities and why we were urging people to not donate to ‘Idol Gives Back.'”
Scott said LDI also wanted to know the exact relationship Cowell has had with ISCA. “We wanted to confirm that the Simon Cowell associated with ISCA was indeed the same Simon Cowell associated with ‘American Idol.’ We wanted to know the extent to which he has been involved in the day-to-day operations of the group. When we didn’t hear back from ISCA, we contacted executives at FremantleMedia, which produces ‘American Idol,’ as well as Bertelsmann AG, FremantleMedia’s parent company, and FOX Television. No one–not even one person– responded.”

FOX claims the “Simon Cowell” at ISCA is not the same as the more famous/infamous Simon Cowell. “While we find this rather odd, we can only go by what we have been able to learn,” Scott said. “No one would claim they were two different people until today. Since we cannot provide 100 percent proof that what FOX is telling us is untrue, we believe it is only right to accept what they have to say. I just wish someone would have told us this back in 2007. Our research continues and we have since learned that ‘American Idol’ judge Randy Jackson is working with Save the Children as ‘Programs Ambassador.'”
“Regardless of Simon Cowell’s involvement or noninvolvement with Save the Children, the fact remains that the group is not worthy of the support of people who care about human life at all stages of development,” Scott said.
Life Decisions International (LDI) is dedicated to challenging the Culture of Death, concentrating on exposing and fighting the agenda of Planned Parenthood. LDI’s chief project is a boycott of corporations that fund the abortion-committing giant. To learn more about Planned Parenthood, please click here.
