Can you believe that American Idol is back in just over a week? It seems like just yesterday we were debating the merits of Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey and wondering which of them was going to take the title.
With the Season 9 audition shows on the horizon (and new judge Ellen DeGeneres joining the panel of judges), let’s get a head start on the discussion: Did you or someone you know with ties to Christian or gospel music audition for American Idol?

Before you freak about my focus on Christians on the show, remember – this is, after all, a blog about Christian music and all things related to Christian pop culture, so it makes sense for us to follow artists with ties to the community.
