WSMV TV in Nashville reports that Gospel icon Bebe Winans was arrested in February for domestic assault after he pushed his ex-wife Debra to the ground during an argument just before Valentine’s Day. He was arrested later that night and held briefly at the Davidson County jail before posting $1000 bond.

The issue of domestic abuse has been a hot topic in the music world lately, after Chris Brown was accused of abusing his girlfriend, Rihanna. But as Debra Winans told the reporter, the issue is something Christians need to be aware of as well.
