The infinite power and glory of God’s creation will provide more than enough to sustain and nurture all of humanity. But the human weakness of greed is disrupting the stupendous, wonderous and nearly unfathomable complexity in the balance of God’s creation. We now know the future survival of humanity is at risk. Humanity is blessed with conscious intelligence by the infinite wisdom and mercy of God. We are created in the image of God. We are the pinnacle of God’s creation. God’s hope is for humanity to succeed. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a symbol of God’s hope for humanity. Pray for humanity to rediscover within the love, wisdom and energy to restore balance in God’s creation and resurrect the planet. Have faith there is more than enough in God’s creation for all of us to share. .

Great video and I agree with what is being said. (for the most part) But now why are so many on this site against the ‘Faith Based Initiative’ that Pres. Bush want to bring about? For every dollar that is collected in taxes for the social welfare of this country, less than $0.37 makes it to the person that needs it. Here we could organize and meet the needs of our community, food, clothing, shelter, education, medicine and we could do the world and 100% of the money could go to the person in need. I tried to get this to happen twice here in MN and one time we could not get things together – it was an idea whose time had not come. The other time it was the Democratic Machine that put all the road blocks up so that it was almost impossible to make a go of it.This is why I have learned on this site that anything good that a conservative/republican would like to do – liberals will more often than not shoot it down. Do Wallis and Sojo think that this is a new idea or program that has finally come to light in the Christian world. What church are they attending???????? Every church that I have been a part of has had a home and foreign mission focus, and I don’t think that we were the exception – I believe we were more the rule. You know – I think if Wallis would lay off the idea of attacking other groups like he has in many of his articles and just tell us the story of what he believes needs to be done, I could get on board in a more proactive way. But as he has attacked many of the ministries that I have support over the past few decades – I am not too inclined to come to his aid. I believe that I would have to be a liberal and denounce the Graham Assoc. and Dobson and Kennedy’s EE program. I can not because I know of too many lives that God has used these organizations to bring them to a deeper understand of who Christ is in their lives. Heal a family is crisis for any number of reasons etc.So I will continue to work with the food shelf in my community, raise money to educate people in central America so that they can support their children and families. All with my conservative evangelical friends – like we have done for decades and as our parents did and their parents did.Sojo – whatever… .

Why I Work for Immigration Reform (by Patty Kupfer)
When I tell people that I work on immigration reform, they usually laugh or say, "way to pick an easy topic." Everyday it feels like there is more fear, more hate. Raids are picking up in Nevada, California, and New York. A number of senators who supported comprehensive reform only a few months ago

Verse of the Day: 'peace to the far and the near'
I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will lead them and repay them with comfort, creating for their mourners the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and the near, says the Lord; and I will heal them. But the wicked are like the tossing sea that cannot keep still; its waters toss u
