Picking Palin, McCain Finally Reaches out to Christian Right

palin3.jpgA lot of people are surprised by McCain’s selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
God-o-Meter was suprised when Southern Baptist Convention politicla chief Richard Land pushed for her so forcefully in a CBS News interview a few weeks back. Who’s on the list of people mentioned for VP that you think would most excite Southern Baptists and other members of the conservative faith community?
Richard Land: Probably Governor Palin of Alaska, because she’s a person of strong faith. She just had her fifth child, a Downs Syndrome child. And there’s a wonderful quote that she gave about her baby, and the fact that she would never, ever consider having an abortion just because her child had Downs Syndrome. She’s strongly pro-life.
She’s a virtual lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. She would ring so many bells. And I just think it would help with independents because she’s a woman. She’s a reform Governor. I think that, from what I hear, that would be the choice that would probably ring the most bells, along with Mike Huckabee, of course, who’s a Southern Baptist.

So McCain has finally listened to the Christian RIght–and on the most important decision of the election season. The Christian Right is elated, particulary with the news coming on the heels of rumblings that McCain was flirting with a pro-choice veep.

Maybe the Southern Baptist Convention is for Palin, but a Christian knows better. Government cannot control Abortions, hearts must be Changed, Government can’t do that, only God can! We should have learned that already! For 12 years, Republicans had control of Congress, 6 of those years with a Republican President. What did they do to stop Abortions? NOTHING! All we have seen under a Republican President is WAR. I’m not Double minded, I’m for LIFE, and so is God! Does the Southern Baptist Convention think God is only concerned for the Life of America’s unborn babies, but not for hundreds of thousands of men, women and children killed in Iraq through a WAR CREATED by your Republican President?
Want to Change America? Stop blaming Government,(11Thess-2-3-12) Get the devil and his false religious leaders out of the Church, that the Truth of God’s Word be heard again in America! (Malachi-3-7-12) All Nation shall call you Blessed of God. Not so Anymore, many Nations across this world Hate America! Scared of America, you better believe they are!
There is a Power Greater than America’s Weapons of War, The Living God, Who will Judge America and Her people if they don’t Turn from their Evil Ways and Evil Doings and Return unto Holy God!
