Last night a yoga teacher dropped a beautiful word that landed on my ears soft as snow: quiesence.
Without even knowing exactly what it meant I instantly loved it, I think because it sounds like
Quiet
+
Essence
And means, essentially that. From Webster’s: “Etymology: Latin quiescent-, quiescens, present participle of quiescere to become quiet, rest, from quies
Date: 1605
1 : marked by inactivity or repose : tranquilly at rest”
