Day Sixty Three – This Day I Choose to Spend in Perfect Peace

posted by Melanie Lutz

Lesson 255 in the ACIM goes hand in hand with one of Gandi’s principles ‘if we want to contribute to peace we have to do more. We have to become more peaceful.’

The end is inherent in the means- Direct and simple.

Peace needs peaceful hearts

Peace needs funding

Peace needs activism

Peace needs a commitment

Make a commitment to peace in your heart right now.

Ask yourself in that silent space of your intuition-

“Where is there an attack thought I can surrender inside my own head?”

“Where is there a gun in my personal arsenal that I can retire?”

Change occurs in the human heart.

If you think opening your heart to change your own attack thoughts is foolish or impossible, remember Bobby Kennedy’s words “some people see things as they are and say why, I dream things that never where and say why not.”

Why not peace.

You have the power with your love, with your forgiveness, with your kindness, with your peaceful state of awareness.

You have power with your thoughts.

Hold to your own joy. Hold to your bliss. Hold to your light. Illuminate the way be shining radiantly.

Enjoy!

Day Sixty Two – A Time to Love

posted by Melanie Lutz

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts on your mind.

“One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas.” from Victor Hugo.

Today is your day for each second to represent the ever increasing joy and rhythm of your life.

On the planet today with the proliferation of technology and the advancement of weaponry to destroy it is clear there is one path through… Remembering the truth. Peace is your responsibility & Love Remains the Answer.

Open up to different thinking; where peaceful ideas are our imagination’s new army.  Make today and everyday a time to love.

Speak out loud.

Lots of Love,

Melanie

Day Sixty One – Strength to Love

posted by Melanie Lutz

The powerful belief in a divine, loving presence that binds all life creating a luminosity of experience that transcends the surface realities is the cornerstone of humanity.  It is the cornerstone of the discipline of Love necessary to carry you past the fear of your days.

We exist in this moment full and complete extending love with each breath, enjoying the ebb and flow of Love’s power as we feel the steely strength of purpose.

We are in the second half of our first 100 days and the mountain has been crested and we are enjoying the return of all the love we have extended 1000 fold.

We are learning to bring things out of our unconscious into the reality of the human form with love.  It is a mastery and a process and in the end you do nothing but allow something to work through you that is already whole and complete that wants to come through and be visible in its full glory.

Use the strength of love to lead the way. Stop being so hard on yourself. No blame. No self judgment. Total acceptance.  Remember today that ACIM thing what you see as failure. God sees as success.  What you see as success, can be a failure, who is to say.

Use love to nourish your growth, allowing and practicing to let your heart exercise the spirit of magnificence.  Say today and everyday “I know Love, I understand its power and I am here to practice it in all my interactions!”

Enjoy!

lots of love,

Melanie

Day Sixty – Dawn of a New Day

posted by Melanie Lutz

I saw this quote in an office of a Social Worker who day in and day out faces those, who are at the end of their financial line, at the end of their hope in working to provide for their families, at the end of their faith that a different possibility was available to them, meeting each story and person with a smile in her heart.

Everyone can be great
Because everyone can serve
You don’t have to have a degree to serve
You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve
You only need a heart full of grace
A soul generated by love.

Words by Martin Luther King Jr. on a faded piece of copy paper hanging blue thumbtacked to the office cubicle wall permeate the day in and day out efforts that unfold as these Angels work within the boundaries of a system pushed to its limits stretching where they can and living in a practice of humanity where everyone is treated with respect. Where the difficulties of circumstance continue to grow but who never stop believing a kind word, a practice of service and an action of love can transform someone’s life.

Make today a day where you brighten someone’s day.  Be great in your actions and your efforts.

Lots of Love,

Melanie

Day Fifty Nine – Let it Shine

“From where I’m standing the sun is shining all over the place.”

Give it a whirl…

The sun’s in my heart and I’m ready for love.

Gene Kelly wasn’t just Singing in the Rain. He was singing AND dancing in the rain.

laugh at clouds
So dark up above
keep the sun in your heart
And get ready

Step up your practice. Move through any resistance and don’t forget to dance out the other side refreshed, revived and aglow.

In Love.

Enjoy this moment.

Let the essence of your self radiate today and blossom with every word you speak.

Open your heart and Live.

Fully.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
And call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”

– Mary Oliver When I Am Among the Trees from Thirst –

Let the shimmering ripple of nature expand through your being
Let the light glow filling your heart with full flowing presence
Let that beautiful expression of love reflect on the wind
Expanding outward amplifying and attune with all the sounds of the world

Make today a beautiful reminder that everyone is here to shine,
with light and love.

Do it.

I’m serious.

Now.

Enjoy this moment.

This little light of mine. I am going to let it shine. Let it shine.

Here’s two different expressions of This Little Light of Mine a Gospel favorite of mine, one from an African Children’s Choir, the other from the inimitable Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Day Fifty Seven – Be Willing to Surrender Everything

posted by Melanie Lutz

“Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become. ” -Unknown

Today is an easy one. Let love flow establishing a frequency to surrender removing any blocks to the awareness of love’s fullest presence.

Let what naturally wants to be expressed have its day in the sun.

May I surrender over

Any thoughts
that are too small for me
Laying at rest in peace
To the highest form of joy
Getting my self
Out of the way
To be of service
To what wants to be born
Amen.
lots of love,
Melanie

Day Fifty Six – Don’t Be InSane

posted by Melanie Lutz

My heart hurts when I hear the ridiculous ideas and thoughts that spring up when tragedy strikes, or for that matter anytime there is a reaction and there is a rush to do something.

It reminds me of a neighborhood meeting I attended to talk about adding sidewalks to improve the safety of the heavily car traveled roads and what we might be able to do about re-paving the streets, when one of the neighbors hijacked the conversation with her personal fear about her house catching on fire and her being trapped in a blazing inferno and her inability to sleep.

Personal fears are just that fear.  Fear is unproductive, and not right minded thinking.  Stay focused on the task at hand.  Listen to guidance from your own intuition and don’t get derailed by insane undisciplined thinking.

Remember today your mechanism to turn fear into love.  Allow love to dissipate your need to react and open up to responding.

Thinking is meant to be used in service of love.  Anything else is in-sane-ity

lots of love,
Melanie

Day Fifty Five – All I Know About Love I Learned from You

posted by Melanie Lutz

Love is an experience we get to practice every day, with each breath.  Through this practice we learn that responding when we are centered with Love creates miracles and quells our human nature to react with our ingrained defensiveness, which only leads to fearful decision making, inadvertently causing separation and hurt.

That which unites us is the underlying responsibility of every conversation.  It is  one Nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Under God.

Stand with me today and everyday in this practice of love.  When someone seems to be unkind, they have forgotten, the truth, remind them with a blessing of Love.

Have this be what America stands for.  Have this day be one in which honor and respect and understanding rule the land.

Live your life as a testament to the total commitment to humanities re-birth from fear to love.

Enjoy.

Lots of Love,

Melanie

Day Fifty Four – Start Something Loving

posted by Melanie Lutz

Michael Jackson was a recognized genius of his time who died way to soon.  In every way his legacy continues to inspire, inform and entertain and for some reason on this day, which happens to be Christmas Day, I can’t help singing “Wanna be starting Something. Got to be starting something.”

Today is the day to start something loving, to ignite the flame of truth and restore the heartbeat to something long thought frozen over.  In MJ’s spirit and that of his collaborators and the dream and space he held for so many it is time to take a look at the man in the mirror and make a change.

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

Start something by making a change to be more loving, simply and with all your heart and soul, right now.

Found this original video clip from Michael Jackson’s MOONWALKER movie…

Enjoy!
